Strawberried Peanut Butter M&Ms

PB&J M&Ms

Like you, I am a big fan of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I also really like chocolate and candy coatings. Naturally, I was intrigued by these. My sister had found them at a bodega a few months ago and insisted they were fantastic. So, here we go.

They’re not fantastic, but I did like them. As you can see, the inside is just peanut butter; no jam. I blame my sister for this because the name of the product is Strawberried Peanut Butter M&Ms, not PB&J M&Ms. The strawberry flavor comes from the candy shell, it seems. As a result, if you eventually start inhaling the M&Ms — not that I would do that — you start to taste less strawberry and more chocolatey peanut butter.

Out of the bagcross-section of M&M

My suggestion is you just read this review 4 or 5 more times instead of buying them yourself. I’d stick with regular PB M&Ms or whatever your favorite may be.

NYC Subways

This review will be ongoing and I'll post it to the main blog when it's finished. Here are my reviews of the current subway lines in NYC.

N R Q W: This line is probably the worst I've dealt with so far, but is also the one I ride the most. The train is rarely on time and has caused me to miss a few ferries. Oh, and down south the tracks are all messed up and require the train to crawl.

1 2 3 9 : These trains, for the most part, are good. The lines are smooth and quick and the trains are only really busy at peak hours. Unfortunately, it's late night service is more or less nonexistant. The N & R are better. Oh, and the 2 line has some of the new cars, that I'll talk about later.

L : My favorite line so far. Brand new trains that are beautiful, clean and informative (lit up maps and audible announcements). And it brings me right to Williamsburg, which is an area I really like.

4 5 6 : About the same as the 1239, just on the East side. It doesn't help me much though as I rarely go uptown. More reports later.

DVD-Audio

Right now, this seems like a lot of hype. I just don't hear enough of a difference to merit a $5-10 increase in price per disc. See, I had to get a new DVD player since mine broke and I ended up getting one with DVD-Audio bundled in, figuring I'd be getting it 'free' with a great quality player. I bought Al Green's greatest hits alongside it and I just don't hear a real step up in quality, and I do have some really nice speakers. Does anyone have experience with this? What do you think?

iMac

It is beautiful. My uncle and sister both got one and they are amazing machines. If I needed a computer this would be at the top of my list right now. Way to go Apple.

Paradigm Studio 40s

On Monday I finally received my new speakers and I am truly jubilant. After I had set them up I sat down and popped in a couple DVDs to check out how they sound in action. After playing with Mulholland Drive for a while, with wonderful results, I popped in my recently rented copy of Metropolis and was pleased that it offered DTS sound. When I started the movie the "powered by DTS" intro came up. You know the one, where the CD flies at the screen with sound coming from all around you and then explodes. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's basically the same as the THX intro at the movies. Point is, it was ridiculously good. I played it for Nelly and Timmy and they both agreed it was at least as good as going to the movies.

Man, this was a great purchase. Good speakers are the work of God. If you love movies and music, they are pure heaven. Thank you Paradigm.

Chik Nuggets

These are meatless nuggets that taste exactly like chicken. And man, they taste good. I think the main reason is that you rarely taste the chicken in a nugget anyway. It's mostly breading. Nonetheless, these are amazing. Thanks for the recomendation Kara.

Apple iPod

A marvel of human invention. Not the first, but the best of its kind. I love being able to transfer 60 of my albums in 3 minutes. Convenience and usability are the pilars of the digital music player world and the iPod delivers. And, of course, it is beautiful.
