RE: CEPHALOPOD
JULY 30, 2008
Matthew Baldwin's hilarious (and fictional) account of an NSA spying program gone deliciously wrong.

Fleet Foxes: The Lillywhite Sessions
JULY 29, 2008
So far, they're my favorite new band of 2008. This 18 minute session is a slightly different take on some fantastic songs.

Eric Ripert Looks to the Big Mac and Whopper for Inspiration
JULY 28, 2008
"I also wanted it to be small enough that, like the McDonald's patty, it would fit in the bun with everything else. Sometimes "upscale" burgers are so massive, and piled so high with toppings, that I have no idea how to eat them." [via Eater]

Sean Avery is a Wingman for the Rangers, Who Pay Him to Be an Asshole
JULY 9, 2008
Finally catching up with my New Yorkers (I'm in June now!) and I loved this article about Avery. He antagonizes the other team in an effort to distract them. Lots of purists were upset, but I saw all's fair in love and sports. To top it all off he lurves fashion and is now an intern at Men's Vogue. This guy rules.

Superfan Cameron Hughes is Paid about $2K to be a Super Fan at Sports Games
JULY 9, 2008
"Cameron Hughes is his team's biggest fan. Depending on his mood, he might pull off one of the multiple team jerseys he wears and spin it wildly in the air, scream at the top of his lungs, and exhort fellow supporters to do the same. Or he might pull an old lady from her seat and dance her through the arena." He earns six figures a year.

This is Not the McFly 2015
JULY 3, 2008

I'm sorry, the new Nike Hyperdunk is nice, but it ain't no McFly 2015. I appreciate the thought Nike, but either do it right or don't do it at all.

The In-N-Out Truck
JULY 2, 2008
There are 7 trucks that roam the land for private parties. Sadly, no shakes or fries. I wonder how much it would cost to bring one to NYC?
