School spirit is evil. It is homecoming here at UW-Madison and I hadn't noticed it, until just now. The pep squad, cheer group, or whatever they're called, just came into the library in their little red sweaters shouting "LET'S GO RED!" over and over again. Okay, this is fine...on a crowded street or at a pep rally. This is not okay when I am at the library trying to write a paper. I guess this is my punishment for going to a Big Ten school.

The one upside to Homecoming: there will be many ridiculous alumni in ridiculous costumes here this weekend. Hopefully their won't be any old dudes dressed as little bo peep or something. Gross.
