So What's This All About?

Cinema Ahh*Some was founded early in the summer of 2004 by Matt and Jen. The intention was to have a bi-weekly gathering where friends could watch movies together and then discuss them. It's like a book club, but with movies. Get it?

Things were going really well, but we wanted to do more. Oftentimes people couldn't make the meeting, but still wanted to talk about the movie. Enter Cinema Ahh*Some: The Blog. This site allows us to continue the discussion after the movie ends and for our displaced movie-lovers to stay in the loop. Hopefully, it will also inspire others to join.

There is no real curriculum for Cinema Ahh*Some. We watch whatever we're in the mood to see. Oftentimes it is socially or politically relevant, other times it is someone's favorite movie. We trade off choosing the movie, because it's more fn that way. Oh, and it's not uncommon to hear banter throughout the film. If you like silence through your film, this club isn't for you.

How can I get involved?

If you'd like to participate digitally, shoot us an email. It shouldn't be a problem. If you want to join the actual meetings, we'd love to have you. Join our email list so you'll know where the film is being screened and how to get there. You can always check here, but we'll never put addresses or phone numbers up here.
