I last caught the New Pornographers in Madison, a couple Februarys ago (the Aesthetic Apparatus poster hangs proudly on my bedroom wall). There the super-group riffled off every song from their fabulous debut Mass Romantic, repeating a few in an encore that featured broken Budweisers, Blaine Thurier jumping on the crowd (twice), and Neko Case serenading us boys til we were blue in the balls. Good times to come at the Bowery.
