Lately, Life Imitates Art
January 27, 2005
These things have popped up in the media in the last few weeks and they seem to be pulled directly from tv shows. Are criminals/idiots not as saavy as before or are they just more connected?
- Man derails train with his car - This was a few weeks after someone derailed a train with a truck in 24
- U.S. Plans to Tighten Nuclear Power Plant Security - Once again, this comes right on the heals of a probable attack on nuclear reactors in 24
- Cops Think Drug Dealers Took Tips from TV - Cops in NYC busted up a drug ring that was using burners (pay-as-you-go cell phones) to evade cops, which was used in the most recent season of the Wire
If we just take away their TVs then the world would be so much safer.
